Can You Use Cast Iron and Carbon Steel on Induction?

Why induction heats unevenly in the first place

An induction burner heats through a coil wound in a ring shape, not a solid disc, though coil design varies some by cooktop, larger or higher-end units sometimes use multiple coils to broaden the zone.
